Corner elements
A corner cabinet is found in almost every kitchen. Here you can choose from beautiful different systems to make the most of the corner of your kitchen. If you store things in this corner cabinet that you use often, it is nice to have good access to them. There are various solutions for this and we would like to tell you more about them!
What is a corner cabinet system?
A corner cabinet system is a cabinet design for the corner cabinet in the kitchen - usually the bottom cabinet - intended to make full use of space that is normally difficult to access. Instead of one fixed shelf deep in the back, use shelves, baskets, pull-out mechanisms or swivel carousels that move with you so you can access the entire cabinet contents.
Typical components might include:
-
Two plateaus that pull or rotate (partially) out of the cabinet
-
Carousel trays (round or semi-circular)
-
Pull-out baskets or baskets
-
Magic Corner systems in which parts move along and/or come forward

Le Mans corner cabinet
A Le Mans system consists of one or two shelves that you pull out with you when you open the cabinet. This corner cabinet system in the kitchen is the most pricey variant, but very convenient to use. With this system, the entire cabinet space is used optimally and you conjure up all the kitchen utensils in no time. However, it is important that the cabinet door opens far enough so that the shelves have enough space to slide out. You're fine if the cabinet door opens at least 90 degrees. A big advantage is that the shelves slide all the way out of the cabinet, so you don't have to bend down and all the items are perfectly visible. Also, a Le Mans system is easy to clean. Very hygienic in the kitchen.
Corner Carousel
Another storage system for a corner cabinet in the kitchen is a carousel. A corner carousel is a turntable that usually consists of two tiers. Because the carousel rotates, you can easily reach everything. In some cases, the turntable is attached to the door. As a result, the carousel comes out when you open the cabinet. This is ideal because this way you don't have to dig into the cabinet to get to the right stuff. There are also systems where the doors rotate with the carousel. The doors then turn inward as soon as you open the cabinet. In some cases, the turntable is not attached to the door, but the carousel is built into the cabinet. The doors of the corner cabinet then just open like a normal kitchen cabinet or contain hinges in the corner section. One disadvantage of a carousel is that the system can jam when something gets stuck. Also, utensils can fall behind the turntable into the corner cabinet of the kitchen. Getting a fallen pan back into the back of the cabinet is a nice job.
Magic corner
A Magic Corner is an innovative solution for the corner cabinet in the kitchen. Where traditional corner cabinets are often difficult to reach and a lot of space is lost, the Magic Corner uses a clever pull-out and sliding mechanism. This makes the entire contents of the cabinet easily accessible, without having to reach deep into the cabinet.
When you open the cabinet door, the front shelf pulls out, while the rear shelf slides forward at the same time. This brings both shelves completely outside the cabinet and gives you instant access to everything inside. This clever technology makes the best use of the corner space in the kitchen, without complicated turning operations or limited visibility.
